WorldView is proud to announce that an award has been granted to filmmaker Leslee Udwin to support the development of their breathtaking project, India’s Daughter.

India’s Daughter is a documentary that pays tribute to the remarkable and inspiring short life of Jyoti Singh, and documents the brutality of her gang rape and murder in Delhi in December 2012. The film explores the compelling human stories behind the incident and examines the cultural and societal values in which brutality against women is so commonplace.

Leslee_UdwinLeslee, pictured left, said on receiving the award: “India’s Daughter is a crucially important story that needs to be told now. There are always those moments in the life of an urgent project, when the need for an injection of supportive cash is a make-or-break issue.

“WorldView’s immensely generous and committed support with this award has made a huge difference… and touched me deeply,” she said.
